There are tacos cakes and everything
One of my favorite spots to eat and chill with friends. We've been coming here for years and the food is consistently good. Open late and parking is easy! My faves include any tacos Nick's Way, elote (on or off the cob!), and the carne asada quesadilla (suiza is a must). But really, anything you get is good. They have awesome drink specials, and our usual go to is a Southern! Huge props to Skip for always being helpful and awesome (and somehow always being our sever).
Fish taco & Mexican chicken burrito were great! Excellent service!
One of my fave spots in town, great/affordable food, drinks, decent # of screens for sports, and an overall chill ambiance. Even our fantasy football league's name is inspired by this place!
Great ambience and service! Went during the weekday 430-6 pm happy hour to get street style tacos for 2$ a piece - loved it! Also highly recommend their iced coffee (off menu)
Tacos are very good. Only one thing my taco was crispy enough that's what I really like so cuz that's what you really like you, make sure they're going to give you one. I really like the food there
If your gonna go I recommend you go between 5 and 6 for there happy hour special for the street style tacos and margaritas which are heavily discounted at that time. The burrito which we got was incredibly large and could easily feed two. Overall the food was very tasty and was presented well. In terms of theme it's a texmex sport bar. There's a basketball game in the back.
Very delicious and high quality food! Great beer selection also. Sort of an awkward seating arrangement on some of the tables.
Great selection of craft beers. Wide assortment of burritos. I ordered the Impossible Burrito. I couldn't eat it all. Ugh!
This has become our regular pit stop once a week for happy hour. The staff is incredible, attentive, and we enjoy the fact they remember us & what we like off the menu (!)...that's fantastic. We try & order something different each time, and every item has been great. This time we ordered their addictive elotés, and carnitas nachos (huge serving) served with GS hard cider on tap & a mocktail. Another great evening @The Taco Shop.
Good, quick and friendly service. The California burrito was really good. The fries it came with were stone cold, tho. The price for the burrito was decent, but the $7.50 for a pint of beer on a Sunday night seemed a little pricey to me, especially considering I got the same drink at another place right before for $4. Guess that's the city for ya ðŸ’â€â™€ï¸. Overall, would come back. They seemed to have good Taco Tuesday deals.
Super tasty food and friendly service. The entrance to the restaurant and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. They try to source their ingredients from local farms. I'll definitely be back for the taco Tuesday!
This place is worth giving a shot. They have big portions for fair prices. Always well organized and with fantastic vibes. Would recommend to others.
Great food! Definitely recommend their burritos and quesadillas. They use wheat tortilla and toasted so they're super crispy! So unique
Great tacos, fun sports bar. Great for large group, sports, and drinks. $2 tacos on Tuesdays, the Tacos Nick's Way are super good and filling. You can't really go wrong on this menu. Use the red sauce on your dinner, it's so good!
We came her having read load of reviews and deciding this was a good option. Unfortunately we were disappointed by the tacos which lacked in flavour and the staff were not very welcoming or friendly. We left full up but disappointed.
Chorizo and Carne Asada street tacos the top for Tuesdays
Good food, great staff, exciting music! Taco Tuesday was on point. I give a shot out to the homie Ziggy. He treated me and my date like family. One love, God bless!
Would highly recommend Underdogs for food and sports bar. The tacos were delicious, the best I've had in San Francisco. Shared them so was able to try a couple different ones, and would especially recommend the carne asada, though you can't really go wrong. The portions are large, so be warned 1 burrito or 2 tacos WILL fill you up. Getting them "Nick's Way" are actually better than Nick's tacos themselves, and probably healthier. The craft beer selection was quite good and reasonably priced- $6 for a local craft. Couldn't ask for a better environment while I was there for a Warriors game. You won't find many die-hard fans here, but it's going to be fun and you'll be able to watch the game well if the place hasn't completely filled up. I'll be returning.
Love underdogs. I’ve been here plenty of times for their awesome street tacos and some drinks. It’s a bar that gets busy for good reason but service is always spot on. Recently, someone suggested I try their breakfast burritos so we stopped here after a long run for a carne asada breakfast burrito and a michelada and I wasn’t disappointed. The eggs and steak were perfectly cooked and it had a great flavor. I think they are using tarot tots on the burrito which I appreciate. I’ve been reviewing micheladas around the city recently and this one is ok. I think they are using their Bloody Mary mix for these and that’s fine but not technically a michelada. Still, it was delicious and I was not at all disappointed. It’s been a neighborhood institution for a long time and I’m very happy to see that things haven’t changed. Come here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Doesn’t matter it’s all amazing.
Friday night was booming with an electric mash of music and conversation. Staff were awesome, food was INCREDIBLE (except for the tortilla chips, sorry, which tasted stale, the ONLY blip on the radar.) Chips notwithstanding, quesadilla was that best I ever had (no hyperbole) and nachos were insane. First time I went here a week ago they put a large open glass bottle of water in front of me and I started drinking it when the guy then put a glass down next to it instructing me to pour the water into it instead. Oops!! I implore anyone who reads this to try this place. It's so much more than just a bar. You won't regret it.
Great tacos! Awesome margaritas. Suggestion 1, you guys should use plates instead of tray with waxed paper. The paper disintegrated with the food and caused us to have a taste of it.Suggestion 2. You should serve your chips dry and salsa or/and beans separately. Adding tomatoes/pico de gallo to chips makes them soggy = not crunchy chips.Overall great food!!
Lovr there atmosphere and food great hang out place
Very good tasting foodðŸ‘.. super nice service
Friendly staff. They have the Nick's style crispy tacos here which are great!
Great food! The carne asada quesadilla is my fave. So good I could eat it everyday!
A neighborhood watering hole with great CaliMex style food. The bartenders and wait staff are all high energy and quite welcoming. I'd recommend the SF Chorizo Burrito 👌💯
The Taco Shop is laid back and a good feel for everyone that enters. If your thinking of having tacos do not hesitate to get them the best way ever " Nicks Way" and you will not be dissappointed. A place for good food and chill vibes, a real must try.
Enjoyed my Mahi Mahi salad. Tried the nachos as well. Good stuff all around. Nice place overall.
The Baja style burrito was excellent.
Used to come here with friends in college all the time for drinks. Was back in the city after a few years and stopped in and found it unsurprising to see that the service was still friendly, quick and attentive and that the California burritos were still enormous, delicious and pair well with a cold Modelo. The worst part about this place is how popular it is and how quickly it fills up, come early and with good company, you won't be disappointed.
This place is always amazing. Quick and friendly service, delicious food that never comes out too late, and the hottest sports games on display. Not to mention, the AMAZING house margaritas! The Taco Shop is hands down my favorite sports bar to have a chill yet fun time at while eating tasty food. You've gotta try the Nick's Way tacos!!!!
Omg I love this place so much. Originally the tacos were why I came but I switched over to the Baja fish burrito bowl and can't stop ordering it now. Their salsa is bomb and their table salsas I can't get enough of. It's like a cleaner yummier version if Nick's that takes credit cards and has good service. And their guacamole is on point.
Nice place and good food
Great staff, great breakfast burritos, great tacos, great beer selection, decent Michigan games (recent w/l record)... ðŸ˜
Fantastic service, great food, huge portions, and it was a great price. We'll definitely be back.
Taco Tuesday is the best over here. Their $2 tacos are awesome and we always get the carne and chorizo tacos.
Nick’s Way tacos are the way to go!! Sooo delicious, great atmosphere, and the bartenders are excellent! Cheers!
Great service. Great food. San Francisco classic.
Good HH. Tacos are pretty good, but I wish the batter on the fish held together more. Nice set of taps and chill environment.
Staff are super friendly and the food is affordable and tasty. Quesadillas (I got chorizo) are some of the best and more unique ones I've had. Also if you order elote, they give you the option of not having the corn on the cob!
Burritos had good flavor but were incredibly greasy, dripping orange oil everywhere. Prices were pretty decent for the city.
Great $2 tacos but it ends at 6
SO GOOD! The tacos are a must have here. PLUS the margaritas were strong and delicious.
$2 taco tuesday Carne asada is good. But chicken..not so much.
We were able to sit down right away even with a busy night. My daughter got the carnitas quesadilla and it was so good. We are great food and had a nice visit with some friends who were in town!
Almost couldn't find the place, but I'm glad I did. The service is top notch and extremely friendly, helping me without any issues. Then I got my Taco, chips, and watermelon Aquafresca I was set. Great place to grab a bit to eat with reasonable prices.
It’s a dive bar style place but tacos are delicious. I had the veggie, and grilled veggie tacos and they are amazing! Cabbage, guacamole, salsa. Try it! They’re huge
Just moved to the neighborhood a couple months ago and I think I've had 11 steak quesadillas. Chicken soup is solid, guac is on point and the staff is all super friendly. Making me love this neighborhood!
Service is not the best, but burritos are good.
Dope local neighborhood spot. Good for some nicks way tacos a quick drink and watch a game.
